About Apricots

Background

Apricots have been grown in New Zealand since the latter part of the 1800s. For this reason, our growers are some of the most experienced Apricot growers in the world. Freshco chooses to work very closely with these experienced growers to secure the best tasting, and best quality fruit the world can offer.

Growing Regions

Freshco sources apricots from the Central Otago area. Otago was one of the first growing areas established in New Zealand because of the unique soils and suitable climatic conditions combined produce a unique micro climate perfect for producing sweet succullent apricots that are highly valued in the market place.

Varieties

Freshco offer many varieties ensuring we maintain quality supply throughout the harvest season starting from mid January through to the end of February.

Specifications

Freshco can offer packaging solutions to suit your requirements, our standard packaging solutions are also available. These include 3kg trays, 5kg and 10kg bulk cartons. Shipments are available both by sea and air.
