Freshco Hawkes Bay an integrated Apple and Pear supply company is a joint venture business owned by Hawkes Bay growers and Freshco. The key objectives of the company are to provide quality fruit from tree to shelf, while offering our grower partners and customers complete transparency throughout the supply chain.  

Freshco Hawkes Bay currently grows, packs, coolstores and markets 200 000 TCEs a year with expansion plans to increase this volume to over 300,000 cartons by year 2012.

Both Freshco's growing partners and Freshco are focused on achieving maximum returns, by supplying to customer specifications and a pre-programmed marketing plan. These growers are committed to sustainable growing practices as well as investing in new developments and technologies. This is highlighted by our GREENGRO™ sustainable growing practices and our new variety development programmes.

Freshco’s role in this business is to provide sales, marketing, shipping, logistics, funding and administration support along with certification and quality assurance to meet customer requirements and provide the highest possible returns to our grower partners.
