The Fresh Fruit Company of New Zealand, (Freshco) grows, packs and exports a wide range of apple varieties Our packhouse is situated in Whakatu. We are looking for Forklift Drivers to support our packhouse operation.
As an experienced Forklift Driver, you will be responsible for safely unloading and loading of trucks, as well as efficiently moving other goods safely around on a forklift as required. This role is seasonal, commencing first week in February and ending July 2024. Exceptional performance and attendance may lead to additional opportunities within Freshco during the post-harvest season, being August to November for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities:
· Unloading and loading of trucks with goods
· Storing field bins away in cool storage
· Storing packed product away from in cool storage
· Moving other items around with a forklift as required
Ensure all health and safety and company policies are always adhered to.
Key attributes:
· A minimum of 2 years (seasons) experience
· Current OSH Forklift Licence
· Valid Full / Restricted Driving Licence
· Team player
· Pass a forklift assessment
· Ability to work the full season
